Water problem and solution.

Summer had been little late this year and so work at the barley fields."We are late"/there is less water/"hurry up".....these are frequent talks heard from the people in the village these days....well it's tea-break for old and young ones at the field.Farmer in Ladakh pray for snowy winter and sunny summer.
Since farmer wholly depends on the snow melt water for irrigation and living purpose so it is common sense that ,we the people of Ladakh wants a lots of snowfall on the mountains in winter so it would make the land green and lush . The distribution of water is a very important part in villages in Ladakh,so therefore a certain people are assigned to manage the water distribution during summer season.These people decides when and where the water has to be distributed for irrigation purposes in the village.Tug of War for water has it place every year in spite of  these managing people called Churpon.Well, it happens and had happened like this before and might happened later ......It's the older generation who are busy with the field work and the  younger ones are busy making houses,so time will come when there will no  more land left to irrigate and no more hurry-burry talks ....lets hope for a happy future....
